Trading Cards by
Public Safety Printing Services
If you would like Trading Cards to show off your partner,
all we need is the following:
  • One Photo (See the Photo Requirements listed below:)

  • A short biography for the back of the card.  Note:  If the biography is too
    long to fit in the space allotted, we will edit it a bit, but only with your
    approval.

  • Tell us whether or not you would like a border around your photo and
    what color range you would like it to be.  If you don't know, we'll put
    something together for you and let you judge.  

  • Once we have everything, I will create two to four versions of what your
    finished card might look like and email them to you in pdf format.  At that
    point, you may choose your favorite or request any changes or
    modification you like.  Unlike other trading card suppliers, we recognize
    that this is YOUR card and we want you to be happy with it.  Once your
    card is finished to your specifications, it will be sent to the printer.

  • The finished card will be UV coated on the front.  UV coating enhances
    the photo and protects if from fading.  
Photo Requirements for Trading Cards

  • Adjust your camera so your photos will be at 250 to 300 dpi in .tiff or
    "high resolution" jpeg format.  That is a must!

  • If your photo is taken by a professional photographer tell him/her not to
    crop the photo.  We will do that as we prepare it for printing.

  • Look for interesting backgrounds, but be careful of what is in the
    foreground as well.  

  • Make sure the subject(s) is in focus.

  • Leave plenty of room around the subject.  Since all of our cards are
    custom designed (we do not believe in making you use someone else's
    templates) we may need room to place the subjects name or other
    graphics next to, below, or above the subject)

  • If you take your photo outdoors, do not take them in bright sunlight as it
    causes shadows on either side of the subjects head or body.  Also,
    never take a photo with the subject(s) facing directly into the sun to
    avoid "squinting". If you take your photo outside as most are, take them
    on a hazy day or place your subject(s) in the shade.  To highlight your
    subjects features use a flash or reflective lighting.  (An overly bright
    photo is easier for us to correct than one that is to dark.)  However, be
    careful to avoid glare from eyeglasses,windows, badges, etc.

  • The easiest way to get them to us is to put them on disc, and mail them
    to us.  However, with just one or two photos it may be easier to email
    them as an attachment.  In some cases this may take some time to
    upload due to the file size.  If need be, you can compress them.  Just
    make sure they are compressed using the highest quality setting in the
    compression.  

If you must send Standard Photo Prints:

  • Make sure the photos are printed on glossy paper.  Prints should be at
    least 3.5 x 5 inches, but no larger than 8"x10", 200 speed file works well
    for still photos.  Use a flash for the reasons stated above.  

Pricing:

  • Box of 1000 = $109.00 plus shipping.  All cards are full color and UV
    coated on the front with black and white on the back.  

  • Payment  -  Check or Money Order due on receipt of the cards.
